Library management system in C with Source code

Introduction

Library management system is a software program useful for maintaining records in library. This project is easy to use and manage. It has command-line interface.

Library management system project is coded in C programming language. There are different types of libraries in this world. Most of the library uses a computerized system. Some uses a traditional system in the library. To reduce the traditional system new system is proposed. This project is a computerized way of keeping records.

Using library management system

The admin needs username and password to enter the system. He/She can enter ‘user’ for username and ‘pass’ for password. This project apply proper validation. If you enter wrong password, you won’t be able to access the system. You will see a menu screen if you correctly logs into the system. There are seven menus. First one to add books in the library.

You must select the category before adding books in library management system. Fill in the book information to add book. The dat extensiion file is use for storing records. The second is to delete the book. You must select the category and provide book no to delete book. Third menu is search menu. You can search by id or book name. The fourth menu is the issue book.

In this menu, you will see sub-menus. You can issue a books, view, search and remove issue book. Fifth menu shows book list and information. Sixth menu is for editing or modifying book. The last menu or seventh menu is for exiting the system. In this project, codes are written correctly. Comments are useful for describing the functions.

The project is simple and easy to understand. This projects saves all the information using dat file. Most people think that c program is hard. You will not find any error while using this project. This project is open source and free to use. Download the project and get experienced by yourself.
